As of right now, Don Post offers the most readily available Scout Trooper helmet. It has a decent shape and size but needs lots of work to compare with your armor. We offer heavily modified Don Post helmets as an accessory to our Scout kit. We can also alter your helmet for you. There are other helmets on the market but we have never seen them first hand. You will have to make your own judgement about any others you choose. We *WILL* offer a vac-formed ABS helmet sometime in the future. It's being designed and researched now. Keep checking back for details of it's eventual release. Some of our modifications are visible in the photograph. We cut the old crappy eye lens completely out and replace it with tinted lexan that is hot melted in. This not only improves looks but also improves visibility. We also cut out the molded aerator in the snout of the helmet and replace it with a real metal aerator, covered with a black vinyl decal. We slim down the helmet by riveting the "cheeks" together and then riveting the "flip up" face shield shut. This has a dramatic effect on the helmets width and greatly improves the helmets appearance. Other options that are available are opening the "ears" and placing screen in them. This improves hearing as well as airflow and plays a major role in cooling off the inside of the helmet.
